Classes, office work suspended in Ateneo due to bomb threat

Students in all levels at the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Quezon City were evacuated Wednesday afternoon following an alleged bomb threat made at the grade school section.

Ateneo de Manila University released a statement at 12 noon confirming a bomb threat received on Wednesday morning.

A tweet from The Guidon, ADMU's official publication, said office work was also suspended due to the bomb threat.

The advisory announced the suspension of classes from midday onwards, and advised all units at the Loyola Heights campus to e vacuate students according to procedures similar to fire drills.

"We are currently verifying a bomb threat we received this morning. PNP (Philippine National Police) units are now sweeping the campus," read the announcement.
