Following the launched of Apple's iPhone 6 and 6+, BlackBerry’s is all set to launch its newest smartphone The BlackBerry Passport, tomorrow September 24, 2014 in a simultaneous event in Toronto, Dubai and London with the device available immediately on these markets.
The invite features the tagline, "See the big picture", referencing the large screen size of the Passport. The device will launch with BlackBerry OS 10.3 and will offer high-end specs. As for pricing, John Chen revealed in an interview with the Wall Street Journal yesterday that the device will be priced at $599 without subsidies in the US.
The Passport is set to launch also in the US on Sept 25 and in India on September 29.
Blackberry Passport is said to have an innovative keyboard where the whole keyboard is a trackpad. Like BlackBerry's all touch phone. You can swipe up from the trackpad keyboard for the words suggestions.
For the most part, the BlackBerry Passport specs such as the processor, internal storage, display and RAM were put out there fairly early but there was a few little bits that remained still unknown. A new spec sheet has been posted up and it covers all of the 'other stuff' folks were wondering about such as the full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth profiles supported, port connectivity and more. If you dig the finer details, this should cover mostly everything remaining that you would need to know.
