ABS CBN news reporter Atom Araullo clarified the reports about his resignation as news reporter of ABS CBN. Atom denied the speculations that he resigned from his post due to his firm stance against
the burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
In his facebook post Atom explained: 'I quietly resigned as a news reporter of ABS-CBN a few weeks ago to explore other areas of media and to grow as a journalist.
'However, I continue to work with the network and our programs.
'My political views were not a factor in making this decision.'
Atom also explained that he resigned as news reporter in TV Patrol and Bandila to be able to pursue other media-related endeavors.
