Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla
With “Got To Believe” nearing its March 7 end, lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla share what they have learned while doing the now six-month-old TV series.
Kathryn admits to having a better grasp of rom-coms, thanks to director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Apparently, the actress, who is turning 18 soon, initially found the format quite difficult to get into.
“Mahirap siyang gawin. Kailangan may timing ka, tapos marunong ka ng effortless na pagpapatawa, hindi ‘yung trying hard ka magpatawa and very natural talaga dapat lahat,” she relates on “Buzz Ng Bayan.”
She is thankful that the director was there to show her the way.
“Sobrang dami mong matututunan sa kanya,” she says, sharing how the director got out of her way to teach her some life lessons as well, among them, how to keep herself in check, particularly when dealing with people.
“Mas okay na ikaw ‘yung may masabi sa kanila kaysa ‘yung mga tao may masabi sa inyo,” she quotes Cathy as telling her.
Meanwhile, Daniel points to the importance of finding happiness in work.
“Kailangan every taping, masaya ka pa rin araw-araw kasi ‘pag nawala na ‘yung saya na ‘yon, makikita sa ‘yo,” he explained.
He made clear, however, that he takes his job seriously despite earning a reputation of being mischievous on the set.
The Joaquin-Chichay saga may be coming to an end soon, but the two assured that their team up will continue in the movie adaptation of Bianca Bernardino’s novel “She’s Dating A Gangster.”
Meanwhile, Direct Cathy vowed that “Got To Believe” will end on a happy note, despite still unresolved twists in the story.
“Kilala naman ako for a happy ending. I will never allow na matatapos ang show na malulungkot sila (fans),” she said in a separate report on “TV Patrol.”
