Unlike the show's lead characters Meg Imperial, JC de Vera, and Ellen Adarna, Devon and Kevin will have teenybopper scenes instead of intimate scenes. Devon will bring life to Riri while Kevin is cast as Runin in ABS-CBN's afternoon series.
“Minsan nape-pressure kami sa mga scenes namin. Pero very, very teen lang naman po ‘yong mga scenes namin doon,” said Devon, who was the 4th placer in Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010.
She added, “Pero kailangan pa namin i-workout ‘yong chemistry kasi first time namin magkasama ni Kevin.
“So, kapag wala kaming ginagawa, nag-uusap talaga kami.”
Both teen stars are confident that they will not lose their followers even if the show is known for having daring scenes.
Kevin said, “Pang-teens naman po ang scenes namin. Kung kami ‘yong sub plot, sobrang iba siya sa main plot.”
Devon added, “Nakikita rin naman namin sa social media [ang reactions]. Okay din lang kasi very teen lang.”
When asked about the feedback of their followers, the two young stars said their partnership is appreciated by fans.
Devon related, “Minsan natatakot kami noong first kasi baka hindi tanggapin ng mga tao.
“Pero okay naman po ang feedback.
“Yong iba po na-shock sa loveteam namin kasi bagay daw po kami.
“Natutuwa sila kasi first time nilang makita na magkasama kami.
“Pero noong pinakita naman daw po kami sa TV, ‘yong chemistry naman daw po namin is okay naman.”
NEW PARTNERS. While this is the first time for Kevin to have a leading lady, he’s not actually the first onscreen partner of Devon.
Devon was previously paired with PBB Teensbatchmate and grand winner James Reid.
The young actress said it’s not a problem for her to be paired with other male teen stars.
She explained, “Okay naman po ako at saka mas maganda kung iba-iba ‘yong kasama mo kasi parang maggo-grow ka. At saka okay naman po katrabaho si Kevin.”
Until when do Devon and Kevin think their loveteam will last?
“Wherever it takes,” answered Kevin.
“Sana magustuhan ng mga tao para makagawa ng teleserye, movies.
“Sana malayo ang marating ng loveteam namin.”
Devon reiterated, “Sana talaga pong magtagal ang loveteam namin or makapagtrabaho pa kami sa mga soaps.”
