June 10, 2016 | Friday

Logos are designed to inform and give us an immediate impression of a company , but did you know that most of these "famous" logos have a hidden message behind them? Well, prepare to be mindblown because here are 5 Hidden Meanings In Famous Logos! Lets...Begin!

1. Apple

Apple’s logo, an apple with a bite taken out of it, comes straight from the Bible story of Adam and Eve when the former took a bite of the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Steve Jobs also had worked on an apple farm and was a vegan. The funny thing is that, as the story goes, Adam and Eve were forever banned from the Garden of Eden. So does Apple technology help us humans regain our former perfect state? Hmm. THAT, will be a mystery!

2. McDonald’s

Yes, the “M” for McDonald’s has a meaning behind it. In the 60’s, McDonald’s wanted to change the logo but their design consultant and psychologist Louis Cheskin insisted that they left the golden arches. According to BBC, he said customers will unconsciously recognize the logo as “symbolism of a pair of nourishing breasts.” Whether this is true or not, their logo is one of the most recognizable in the world.

3. Pepsi

Pepsi’s old logo is the one on the left. The new logo on the right cost Pepsi $1 million. They hired Arnell Associates to come up with it. As a result, Pepsi had to spend millions more to rebrand everything. Then Arnell’s 27 page document was leaked and it was entitled, “Breathtaking Design Strategy.” It proposed that the new logo was some sort of Da Vinci Code. And to be honest, the Pepsi logo looks nothing like The Da Vinci Code, no offense intended....

4. LG

The logo for electronics company Life’s Good features the letter “L” and “G” in the form of a hidden symbol .LG explains: “The letters "L" and "G" in a circle symbolise the world, future, youth, humanity, and technology. Well, not only that but it also symbolizes something else. A video game maybe? Yes, the famous Pacman video game! Mindblowing right?

5. Fedex

Do you see the hidden arrow inside the Fedex logo? Well, In the blank space between the E and the x you’ll see it.The man behind the logo, Lindon Leader quoted: “The power of the hidden arrow is simply a hidden bonus for the logo.“It is a positive-reverse optical kind of thing: either you see it or you don’t. Importantly, not getting the punch line by not seeing the arrow, does not reduce the impact of the logo’s essential communication.”
