Kapuso leading lady Andrea Torres remains a Kapuso after signing a three-year contract with GMA Network.
The contract signing was held at the GMA Network Center Building on Wednesday, March 19.
Present at the event were Entertainment TV Group SVP Lilybeth G. Rasonable, VP for Drama Redgie Acuna-Magno, AVP for Corporate Communications Angel Javier-Cruz, AVP for Alternative Productions Gigi S. Lara, Program Manager Charles Koo and Andrea’s manager, Rams David.
In the course of her career in GMA, we have seen Andrea portray different roles. She had a supporting role in My Beloved, then she went on to headline TV series like Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga and With A Smile, where she was paired with Mikael Daez.
Aside from the said shows, Andrea continues to prove her versatility as a comedienne in the longest running gag show Bubble Gang. Also, her multiple talents have made her a regular performer in Sunday All Stars.
Asked how she feels about the renewed trust GMA has given her, Andrea said, “I’m very happy na pinagkatiwalaan po ulit tayo. Siyempre, ang sarap na nagtra-trabaho ko at nafu-fulfill mo ‘yung dreams mo na mayroon kang home.”
She added, “Definitely, looking forward ako kasi yung past three years ko sa GMA, sobrang masaya ako talaga. Nabigyan nila ako ng break at ng pagkakataon na ipakilala yung sarili ko sa audience.”
A self-confessed My Husband’s Lover fan, Andrea said that she would like to work with Kapuso leading men, Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez in her future projects.
