Malaya Watson
Fans of Fil-Am Malaya Watson will see more of her on “American Idol XIII” after she makes it to the competition’s next round.
Following her performance of Tamela Mann’s “Take Me To The King” that drew a standing ovation, the 16-year-old Michigan native has safely secured a slot in the Top 11 during the results night on Thursday (Friday morning in Manila).
Watson’s performance was highly commended by “Idol” judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr.
Emily Piriz was sent home after failing to get the judges’ “Save” with Grace Potter’s “Stars.”
With Piriz in the Bottom Three were Jena Irene and MK Nobilette.
MK Nobilette, Jena Irene, CJ Harris, Caleb Johnson, Alex Preston, Majesty Rose, Dexter Roberts, Sam Woolfe, Ben Briley and Jessica Meuse complete the remaining contenders.
