WATCH: Kids Who Risk Their Lives Going To School

We’ve all heard older generations joking that back in their day, they had to walk ten miles, in ten feet of snow, uphill both ways to get to school. Nowadays, many students can take the bus, bike or walk a couple of miles or are driven by parents or guardians. That’s not always the case for children in more remote areas; getting to school is a journey on its own.
Whether it’s treacherous routes due to distance or environmental issues such as flooding roads, accessing an education is hard work. So while we may take our easy routes for granted, these brave kids certainly don’t.
