13 films submitted for consideration in MMFF 2014

In last year's edition, Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto joined forces for the Metro Manila Film Festival, but this 2014, they are competing against each other via different entries.

Just like last year, MMFF mainstays have opted to return to the annual event spearheaded by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

These include Vic Sotto, Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda, and ER Ejercito as well as new entrants such as BB Gandanghari and Coco Martin.

If Whistle-blower is chosen, the Superstar Nora Aunor will once again return to the MMFF after starring in the critically-acclaimed Thy Womb.

Kris and Coco are slated to work together for Feng Shui 2, the sequel of the blockbuster horror film released in 2004.

Another horror film being considered for MMFF is Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2, which follows in the heels of the 2012 comedy-action-horror movie Tiktik: The Aswang Chroniclesstarring Dingdong Dantes.

If chosen, Shake Rattle & Roll will mark its return to the MMFF with Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellana tapped as some of the lead stars.

Vic will again co-star with Ryzza Mae Dizon for My Big Bossing's Adventures while Vice Ganda will lead the cast of Praybeyt Benjamin 2.

In a previous interview, Kris revealed that her son Bimby will be part of the sequel of Praybeyt Benjamin.
